News Coaching Staff update - Jimmy Campbell resigns from our coaching team

Jimmy Campbell resigned from his post as our Head of Coaching on the 25th of September 2017.

Jimmy first joined the HFCA team in November 2008 having assisted HFCA in working with Inter Milan FC when HFCA brought them to Cambodia. Having enjoyed his first experience of working with HFCA he continue to volunteer his time and managed the Cambodian team at the 2009 HWC (Homeless World Cup) in Milan, Italy.

Jimmy then came on board as a paid member of staff and oversaw many coaching structural changes and improvements in his 8 years and 10 months with HFCA. After the HWC in Milan, Italy, Jimmy continued as the team coach for the Cambodian national team up to the recent HWC in Oslo, Norway. Jimmy coached Cambodia at a total of eight Homeless World Cups in countries as diverse as Mexico, Brazil, Poland and Italy. His greatest success was securing the Globe Trophy in his home city of Glasgow in 2016.

HFCA Country Manager Vibol Chao who worked closely with Jimmy Campbell for over eight years stated “HFCA would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Jimmy Campbell for the significant contribution he has made to the HFCA organization and express our gratitude for his hard work and commitment.
