News HFCA Senior Women's Program launched and loving our new home at KMH Stadium

HFCA were very happy to have our 1st Senior Women's team training session on the 16th of January and the players are really enjoying training at such a great stadium.

Our four coaches, two males & two females are former HFCA players or program participants from our NGO partners. The team trains every Sunday and their passion for the game and desire to be treated equally is inspiring HFCA and our NGO partners to make this program a success.

"I never thought as a young woman I could play in a proper football team but now HFCA is working hard to make our dreams come true. In the past we just came to training to play with our friends. Now we can see the path to be part of a professional team."

After several team meetings with players & staff in 2021 we discussed all aspects of the teams preparations for 2022. HFCA management discovered that this really is a new experience for the team. None of the players have ever played a full 90 minute match, on a proper football pitch with referee and linesmen. It's a steep learning curve that lays ahead of them but a journey they want to take no matter how hard it may seem.

Thanks to our close friends at Cambodian Children's Fund for their support of this new program.
